Sumatibhai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Hadapsar – Pune 411028 is a leading institute in the education field of Ayurved in India. Established on 1st August 1990 as the Undergraduate course institute, the institute is well-spread having far-flung activities in U. G., P. G., and Diploma and Fellowship courses.It is joined with Maharashtra University of Health Science NASIK. This is a Ayurved Mahavidyalay & 225 beded Hospital.The mother institute of our college is Maharashtra Arogya Mandal – Hadapsar,Pune founded by the visionary Late Dr Dadasaheb alias S. T. Gujar who was the doctor of Indigenous system of Medicines (Ayurved) inspired by the thoughts and principles laid down by Late Sane Gurujee (the great legendary social leader from Maharashtra).
Dr Dadasaheb Gujar was the pioneer stalwart of Maharashtra Arogya Mandal who spearheaded the movement of Social activism on the fronts of Health, Education, Upliftment of Rural classes as well Tribal populations in Bhimashankar and Nandurbar districts of Maharashtra from various angles and ultimately established the Sumatibhai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalaya with untiring efforts which is a grade I institute in India imparting the education of Ayurved on various levels....read more

1. Dr. Kalpana Sathe participated as a guest lecturer and delivered lecture on ‘Shatkriyakaal’ in the webinar organized by Parul University on 02/05/2020.


Webinar on ‘Protector Protect Thy Self-Tackling communication and Mental Health Challenges in the Covid era’ was organized by Quality Council of India and National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health Care providers (NABH) on 29/04/2020. Dr. Pranita Joshi-Deshmukh was one of the speakers in this webinar along with Dr. Anuj Mittal & Dr. Indu Arneja. Dr. Atul Mohan Kocchar was present as moderator.


Webinar on ‘Ayush System Hopes and Challenges ahead’ was organized by the association of Shalaki (TAS) and Parul University on 29/04/2020. Principal Dr. Mrs. Nilakshi Pradhan participated as a Resource Person in this Webinar along with CCIM advisory committee members, Dr. Haridra Dave & Dr. Tanuja Nesari and Dr. Sandip Salvi, Dr. Soni.


Dr. Jayashree Tongaonkar was appointed as Master trainer on 04/04/2020 for the ‘Covid 19’ training organized by CCIM.


LAKSHYA 2020 Volley ball competition was held at R. A. Poddar Ayurvedic college, Worli, Mumbai on 13/03/2020. Boy’s Team of SSAM won this competition. Vd. Atul Zolekar (P.G. Scholar, Swasthavritta) was awarded with ‘Best Player’ award. Winning team was as follows: Vd. Atul Zolekar(Captain), Piyush Pawar, Nikesh Mante, Akshay Morale, Akshay Swami, Vd. Rohit Gujarathi, Tirth Shah, Vaibhav Baviskar, Vishal Dewde, Vivek Chothe, Mandar Garud, Sushil Kale and Tushar Kashid.


On occasion of 14th death Anniversary of Late Dr. Dada Gujar(Founder, MAM), Blood donation camp was organized on 2/03/2020 in joint collaboration of Dr. Dada Gujar Blood Donor Society and N.S.S. department of SSAM at Sane Guruji Arogya Kendra. 82 donors including Teaching, Non-teaching Staff and students..


Two Basic research Methodology workshops were conducted from 02/02/2020 to 08/02/2020. Dr. Sharayu Kore was present and Dr. Pranita Joshi-Deshmukh worked as Co-ordinators for 1st and 2d Workshops respectively. Hon. Mr. Anil Gujar and Principal Dr. Mrs Nilakshi Pradhan were present for the inaugural function. Dr. S.L. Jadhav, Dr. Pranita Joshi Deshmukh, Dr. Jyoti Gavali, Dr. Pravin Bhat, Dr. Sharayu Kore, Dr. Kalpana Ayare , Dr. Mohan Joshi, Dr. Swati Raje, Dr. Supriya Bhalerao presented lectures in these workshops. Principal Dr. Mrs Nilakshi Pradhan was present for the valedictory function. Dr. Pravin Bhat, Dr. Kalpana Ayare, Dr. Vikram Supugade, Dr. Gayatri Sawant, Dr. Pallavi Bhange, Dr. Anjana Ghogare, Dr. Pallavi Patil, Dr. Amol Sabale, Dr. Rita Mandale and Priyanka Keram worked in different committees.


4. State level Research competition was organized by MUHS at Annasaheb Dange Ayurved Medical College, Ashta, Sangali on 14/02/2020. Principal, Dr. Mrs. Nilakshi Pradhan was present as expert in research committee. Dr. Pravin Bhat received 2nd prize for his presentation


3. Late Vd. P.G. Nanal Memorial National Level Inter-Medical College competitions-2020 was organized at Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya from 6-8/02/2020. Following students won prizes in different categories: a. Prakriti Parikshan : Mrunmayi Sasane (First), Shabdali Ghate(Second) b. Poster Presentation: Prajakta Mali(Second), Amar Kondhare( Third) c. Essay competition : Dr. Nirupa Ainlod(First), Neha Rathod(Second) d. Case taking competition : Dr. Darshan Dhage(Third) e. Extempore : Dr. Kalyani Ugale( Second), Dr. Darshan Dhage(Third) f. Topic Presentation : Dr.Darshan Dhage(Third) g. Nanal Trophy winners: Prajakta Sanap (1st runner up), Dr.Darshan Dhage (Second runner up) .


2. Late Vd. H. B. Paranjape all India Essay and Elocution competition was organized at Ashtang Ayurved Mahavidyalaya on 07/02/2020. Miss Mrudula Sonna (II BAMS) received 1st prize in elocution competition

Dr. Nilesh Kulkarni(Samhita Siddhant)- 1st prize in Paper Presentation b. Dr. Kiran Ubhe(Kayachikitsa) - 1st prize in Poster Presentation c. Dr. Kajal Shah (P.G.Sch.Dravyaguna) - 1st prize in Paper Presentation


Hon’ble Mr. Anil Gujar received Prestigious Paul Harris fellowship given by Rotary Club of International Institute.
